Civil Engineering

Civil engineering, stormwater design, rain falling onto house roof tiles

Stormwater Concept Plans

Almost all new developments will require site civil engineering design, including stormwater drainage to be designed by a qualified Civil or Hydraulic engineer. The stormwater design is represented in the form of a Stormwater Concept Plan, to be submitted to Council or private certifier for approval.

We have designed and certified Stormwater Concept Plans for residential, commercial and industrial projects across many different LGAs (Local Government Authority) in NSW. Some examples of our expertise in stormwater drainage design and certification includes catering for sites with the following requirements:

  • OSD (On-Site Detention) including a combination of aboveground or below ground storage solutions
  • Charged line systems for lots sloping away from the street frontage kerb and gutter system
  • On-Site Infiltration or Absorption systems

Flood Impact Assessment

Civil Engineering design, including Flood Impact Assessment for proposed developments on Flood affected lots.

This assessment and flood certificate will generally be requested by Council or Certifiers to approve developments on Flood prone land.

Some examples of typical developments requiring flood assessment certification are as follows:

  • Proposed granny flats or extensions on flood prone land
  • In-ground swimming pools on flood prone land
  • Feasability report on impact of developments on land considered to be floodways or flood storage areas
