Civil or Infrastructure Dilapidation

Civil Dilapidation Survey or Inspections are normally requested by the Local Government Authority or Council prior to commencement of any construction work adjacent public civil infrastructure or assets managed by the Council. This is to ensure that any damage caused to public assets by construction works, can be referenced back to a Dilapidation Report and remediated by the Contractor underaking the works.

House or Building Dilapidation

Structural Dilapidation Survey or Inspections are typically required prior to commencement of any construction work. They serve to ensure that all project related parties and stakeholders are protected by way of recording the pre-development condition of all nearby structures. The dilapidation report can be referred to should any concerns of damage be raised during and/ or after construction has been completed.


VANN BOMA Engineering has extensive experience in undertaking Structural Dilapidation Inspections and reporting. Some examples of typical structural dilapidations undertaken by us, are as follows: 

  • Houses neighbouring lots with proposed developments
  • Attached and Semi-attached dwellings with proposed renovations
  • Low to medium rise buildings adjacent proposed developments
  • In-ground swimming pools adjacent construction works
